What is the difference between Roundhouse and the Business Ledger?
Roundhouse moves your SAP data, in real time, into the lake or warehouse you run. The Business Ledger sits on top and turns that data into a live ledger you can ask questions of. You can buy Roundhouse on its own.
Do I need both?
No. Many teams only need the data, and Roundhouse is built for that. Add the Business Ledger when you want answers, not tables.
Do I still get my raw SAP tables if I add the ledger?
Yes. The tables keep arriving exactly as before.

Which SAP systems does it work with?
ECC (including older releases), S/4HANA and RISE, on any database SAP runs on: Oracle, DB2, iSeries, SQL Server, SAP's own database and Sybase.
Where can the data go?
Snowflake, SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery or any other tool.
Is it real time?
Yes. Changes in SAP reach your target as they happen.
Does it need ABAP or BW?
No.
What about SAP's changes to third-party access (SAP Note 3255746)?
Roundhouse is compliant with it. SAP pushes. Nothing pulls.
Business Ledger
What can I ask it?
Things like what changed in the cash forecast since Monday, what has happened to an order, or which orders are about to slip. Every answer traces to the SAP document.
Is the forecast exact?
No. The forecast is management information. What has actually happened is SAP's own values, drillable to the document.
Does it change anything in SAP?
Asking the ledger never changes SAP.
How long until we see a first answer?
It starts from your own SAP data, already flowing through Roundhouse, so first answers come in weeks rather than months.
Who sets it up?
Simplement does, including your Z tables.
