Why Move It?
You don’t have to. You can customize SAP, a lot. A big business was told, “your SAP system is so customized, if it went down, it might not start back up. You should migrate to S4.” After migrating, they went bankrupt. All custom reporting was left in the deprecated ECC system, and they could not keep operations on track without it.
SAP is amazing, but complex. SAP put 90,000+ tables in ECC and more in S4. A simple sales order links to numerous tables for headers, details, descriptions, status, and master data. Users like descriptions and sales office names, etc.
When you move SAP data out for reporting, you get all the details, fast. All exceptions, including that one-time accounts payable transaction with full details like time, date, login, and username.
SAP Texts
Sales orders have many free text fields. You could use one to describe a reason for a block, then feed that to your report. Ask your IT team about SAP text fields in reporting and how fast they could add them. Why not use what you have? SAP is full of text fields. We deliver any and all texts, real time. Add text, click save, and as fast as your network moves it, it’ll show up in a report—even on your phone.
Make It
Easy. Do your analysts have the best tools? Would they tell you? Roundhouse moves your SAP data with conversions for easy reporting, easy joining, and easy data type matching. We worked hard to make all of this easy. Want to control costs? Easy—only select the data you want. Some SAP tables have 400 columns; no one uses them all. SAP put them there for flexibility.
Need more data? Add it with a few clicks by an admin. That’s it. Data lands in the target, creating a view with full table names and column descriptions. Real-time data flows as it’s created in the source.
